We are trying to put together a "Diving Directory" of all of our Diving Healthcare Professionals...because we will be offering CEU & CME credit for ongoing education while on a diving trip. If you are interested or would just like to be a part of our HealthCare Diving Directory, please let us know below!
Thank you all!

HI DG 412. As the disclaimers usually say, "consult with your tax advisor". However, the rules of educational travel and meetings are pretty clear. The subjects would be somewhat relative to the audience makeup, but would certainly have dive medicine influence, as well as current health care topics. GIve some feedback on how many hours per day you would want to devote to conference time.Physician. I assume the CMEs will be related to dive related medicine? Always ready to learn more. And possibly tax-deductible???

Depending on best diving time wherever we are.. 1-2 hours a day? At noon (lunch time) or early evening after most dives were over??? That actually sounds like a lot. Not sure what the rules for CME are. And it would not matter if it were tax-deductible or not, but that would be an added advantage.HI DG 412. No one says that you have to write the trip off, though.

Actually I have a friend who is looking into that here in Dallas. Mark has I think spoken to him as he is my 'diving dentist'!!!Dentist here- can you get Academy of General Dentistry certification for CE credits? Not that big a deal for me- I'm going to go diving regardless!
Laurie
And may I say so right now...every diver should go and call EVERY dentist in the yellow pages (unless of course you live in NYCamico's backyard) until they find a diving dentist. Here's why....a couple of years ago I needed a crown. My dentist was going to do a temp crown and had started the process when he stopped and said...when is your next dive trip? As it turned out it was about 10 days away. He said there was no way he could do the temp crown as I'd have to dive on it and he would not allow me to risk getting an air bubble under that crown at 120 ft and then bolt to the surface from the excruitiating pain while most likely embolising on the way up too boot. Basically you could have kissed my tush goodbye all because of a temporary crown. And who would have thunk it????
Moral of the Story????
Find a diving dentist, doctor, and all your healthcare professionals as they are worth their weight in gold!!! (Besides...some of them might be single and you can always recruit them to SD!!! LOL!!!)
